Shorty's Restaurant Review:

Shorty's has well-spaced paper-covered tables that are inviting and offer views of numerous flat-screen TVs and the performance stage where live music plays Friday and Saturday nights. The menu’s thin-crust, wood-oven-baked pizzas include Shorty's originals such as “Sid Vicious” with its myriad meats (Black Forest ham, salami, sausage, pepperoni and ground beef) that are baked in a domed wood-burning oven. They emerge with nicely chewy, slightly blistered crusts. Salads are huge and fresh, and the Caesar comes topped with a generous amount of tart white anchovies. We also like the spaghetti squash salad with walnuts and cheese, although it's not available regularly. Daily changing specials and a burger and pasta special are options, too. Key lime pie is the dessert to target, and the serving is enough for at least two to share. Good beers on draught and some wines quench a thirst. Call ahead to check the performance schedule.
