Texas de Brazil Restaurant Review:

Wearing classic Brazilian cowboy garb, the servers at Texas de Brazil deliver flame-grilled, skewered meats (filet mignon, pork loin, chicken breast, picanha, you name it) to tables until the diner indicates he or she has had enough. The all-you-can-eat service is available for a set price (dinner and weekend lunch $45.99 per person; Wednesday through Friday lunch $24.99 per person). Vegetarians will find something to eat at the extensive (50-55 items) hot and cold salad and sides bar (price for the salad bar alone is $29.99 per person at dinner and weekend lunch; Wednesday through Friday lunch $19.99 per person). Black beans and farofa, a classic Brazilian dish made from toasted manioc or maize flour, are there, and don't forget to snag some chimichurri sauce for the meats. Brunch also features conventional breakfast fare in addition to grilled meats. For dessert, papayas and cream keep the tastes of Brazil going, but there are plenty of traditional Southern options, such as bananas Foster pie and pecan pie (this is Memphis, after all). The extensive, globally selected wine list offers 20-plus wines by the glass and about 20 half bottles. Chile and Argentina are well represented, and there are a number of Argentine Malbecs. High ceilings with wooden rafters lend the dining room an elegant vibe despite the buffet-style service for the salad bar.
