Trattoria Il Panino delivers good, old-fashioned Italian-American fare like fried calamari, a hearty lasagna of the day, and simple spaghetti with garlic and olive oil. More adventurous dishes include spicy penne arrabbiata, osso buco Milanese with saffron risotto, linguine with clams and lobster ravioli, all served up at reasonable prices. Granted, if we had only one night to dine in the neighborhood, we wouldn't go here. But locals in need of a home away from home could do worse.
