THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED About the restaurant: As diners enter this Pike Place Market Italian spot, they walk through a hallway formed by the cool marble chef’s counter on one side and a pasta-making room the same size as the kitchen on the other, something representative of the priorities here.

Food & Drinks: The menu’s shining stars come not from the fairly traditional Italian antipasti and insalata selections --- meatballs, suppli al telephono --- nor the popular pizza options, but from the handmade pasta section. Delicate pumpkin ravioli with goat milk ricotta pair with pickled squash, and tiny tortellini float in a prosciutto-Parmesan brodo. As with the rest of the menu, dessert sticks to the Italian canon, featuring tiramisu and affogato. The wine list stays focused, appropriately, on Italy, but is long enough to cover the gamut of flavor and price.
