Mesero Miguel Restaurant Review: Mi Cocina founder Mico Rodriguez brings his flair for upscale Mexican food, stylish service and strong cocktails to Henderson Avenue with this new venture, the waiting area of which could double as a modern art gallery. Airy white walls, exposed duct-work and sleek wooden booths let the food take center stage. And while all the expected Rodriguez takes on Mexican fare are here, including chunky guac, spinach-and-artichoke-laced queso and chicken mole enchiladas, there are also dry-aged steaks, carne asada made with Wagyu beef, crispy duck confit tacos and an oh-so-trendy kale salad with quinoa. The signature Micorita comes on the rocks or frozen, traditionally flavored or spiked with ingredients like citrus and Serrano chiles, peach and basil or ginger and mango.
