THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Michel Bistro Restaurant Review:

Friendly, accessible Michel Bistro serves fusion-tweaked French classics (forbidden rice in crème fraîche, escargots with maitake mushrooms, bison tartare with caper berries) devised by inventive executive chef Anthony Salguero. Co-owners Jean-Michel Fabregon, Germain Michel and Samie Didda, the latter two of whom also own the popular Amélie wine bars in San Francisco and New York City, yearned to transplant the lingering, languorous Provençal pastis-bar experience. Brunch is a cheery affair; try the duck confit hash or pain perdu with house-made mascarpone and pistachio brittle. Desserts are rich and deeply seasonal; fall might bring a rosemary-peppercorn-caramel-apple cake. A children's menu makes it even easier to feel welcomed.
