Milagros Food Co. Restaurant Review: Milagros is a favorite among locals and tourists on Maui's North Shore. Island visitors like its great people-watching location and consistent quality food; locals like its casual ambience, friendly service and happy hour specials. Breakfast portions are substantial with Southwestern basics like huevos rancheros and an egg-based burrito smothered in enchilada sauce. Lunch features other staples such as the lava-grilled bacon, Swiss and guacamole burger and the slightly healthier baby spinach salad with seared blackened ahi. However, we prefer dinnertime, when we can gorge on the “black and blue” ahi taquitos and spicy ocean garden shrimp pupu, with sautéed tomatoes and garlic in a savory chipotle sauce; and the seafood enchiladas---corn tortillas stuffed with ono, ahi, crab, shrimp and scallops, covered with a fresh roasted Anaheim chile cream sauce. Margaritas are another attraction here---choose from a large selection of tequilas and enjoy on the patio while watching the colorful passersby of Paia. |
