| One of the better places for Chinese in San Diego, Ming Court serves modern food in a sophisticated, low-lit ambience. Lucky for Ming Court that it is located close to the Del Mar Racetrack; this fact ensures a steady stream of race-season diners who come for the five-spice pork chops and stir-fried prawns Beijing-style, with coarse salt and cracked black pepper. Lamb, not common at local Chinese houses, stars in several good preparations, including one that features pungent leeks. More common yet still recommended options include the tangerine chicken and Mongolian beef. |
