THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Miss Albany Diner Restaurant Review:

Cliff and Jane Brown operated this tiny, popular diner for more than two decades. However, Cliff's late 2010 death at 83 leaves its future up in the air. Meanwhile, son Bill is still preparing such eye-poppers as bacon-and-eggs on cornbread with jalapeño cheddar sauce and Mad Irish Toast---two thick slices of french toast with pecan cream cheese, topped with butterscotch Irish whiskey sauce. No reservations are taken, so long lines are commonplace. The 1941 Silk City Co. diner, built in Paterson, NJ, is on the National Register of Historic Places. It originally was named Lil's but also was known as Elaine's, the Streetcar and the Firehouse before getting its current name in 1986, when it was renovated to serve as one of the scenes in the film version of local author William Kennedy's Pulitzer-winning novel "Ironweed."
