Molly's at the Market Restaurant Review: Molly’s at the Market, named in part for its proximity to the famed New Orleans French Market, is the place for good drinks and better gossip. Coffee is just not coffee without an exaggerated shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey, and peppermint Schnapps in your hot chocolate is de rigueur. If you really want to know what is going on in New Orleans, your best source is the bartender. How they know so much, nobody knows, but they’re usually right on. If you are hungry, there are burgers, tacos and some traditional bar food. The crowd so routinely spills out onto the sidewalk that the area outside the front door is considered part of the bar. And where else can you find a jukebox that offers a mix of Frank Sinatra, Talking Heads and Lenny Kravitz? (Insider’s tip: Tuesdays are packed due to the $1 tacos.) |
