Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse Restaurant Review: Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse on the Ohio River is an institution that has been feeding Cincinnatians sweetly sauced barbecued ribs for years. Pork loin back ribs are wet-cooked with falling-off-the-bone meat. This is not like barbecue in Texas, Memphis or the low country: these are ribs suited to the sensibilities of the locals, who in turn bring all their out-of-town guests to see what the fuss is about. There is an extensive menu for those not interested in ribs, with options that include Gulf shrimp with plum and spicy mustard sauces as well as blackened salmon. Before you leave, be sure to try the crispy, lightly seasoned Saratoga potato chips. Dessert selections include a chocolate sundae supreme, cheesecake, a shortcake of the day, carrot cake and Graeter's ice cream.
