Montrio Restaurant Review: Montrio is a locals' favorite, and when it's full you can hear the noise a block away. A meal starts with flavors that demand attention. Small bites include truffle tater tots and baby artichoke risotto fritters complemented by sweetly acidic tomato pesto. White Spanish anchovies with lemon and olive oil sing with freshness. Chef Tony Baker lets ingredients do the talking. We like the savory roast duck with cherry reduction and polenta cake. Baker's artisanal bacon makes notable cameos throughout the menu; check the website for promotions including cooking with bacon, half-price wine nights, and "Dinner and a Movie" with nearby Osio Cinemas. Desserts change frequently, but if the apple jelly donuts or the flourless chocolate malt cake are there, grab 'em!
