Montrio Restaurant Review: Montrio is a locals' favorite, and when it's full you can hear the noise a block away. A meal starts with flavors that demand attention. Small bites include truffle tater tots and onion bhaji --- India's answer to onion rings with tomato jalapeño jam. White Spanish anchovies with lemon and olive oil sing with freshness. Chef Tony Baker lets ingredients do the talking, and his artisanal bacon makes notable cameos throughout the menu. We like the savory roast duck with cherry reduction and polenta cake. Desserts change frequently, but hope for the apple jelly donuts or the flourless chocolate malt cake. Check the website for promotions including cooking with bacon, half-price wine nights and "Dinner and a Movie" with nearby Osio Cinemas.
