| Clarissa Morelli and her husband Donald Sargent, founders of Morelli's Gourmet Ice Cream & Desserts, have partnered with Top Chef finalist Kevin Gillespie, also chef/partner at Woodfire Grill, to do some of the inventive sweet treats at a second Morelli's in the Edgewood Shopping District. We like the Coca-Cola blackberry flavor. Especially nice are the small "kid" cups, which cost less than $2, and supply just the right amount of satisfying sweetness on a warm day. Gillespie's creations include S'Mores, a classic set of flavors, but for this version, he roasts the marshmallow and smokes the caramel---intense. |
