| An out-of-the-way spot with a solid Italian-American menu of very good veal, beef and pasta dishes, Tom Moro's restaurant is tucked into a modest strip of shops in a suburb which seems more like a small town, just ten minutes from Metro Airport. Those who want more than airport food have learned to stop here on their way to or from flights. Dinners are complete with a classic tossed salad, minestrone or soup of the day, vegetable and potato. Portions are large. Tableside cooking adds flair to the mirrored room that is usually packed with diners who know they can depend on reliably tasty fare from the kitchen of a man who, though of Hungarian heritage, trained in one of the best Italian restaurants in Detroit before hanging out his shingle more than 25 years ago. |
