THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
An after-work crowd gathers at this subterranean Back Bay outpost of the famed Chicago steakhouse for the happy hour bar bites menu (think petite filet mignon sandwiches) paired up with a fun, fruity cocktail. Not sure what to order? Servers wheel over an overflowing cart filled with the day’s available steak cuts. Start off light with a sampling of tuna tartare, oysters on the half shell or colossal shrimp cocktail, before diving into the double-cut filet mignon, New York strip or bone-in prime rib. The enormous chopped salad is a meal on its own. At this beef paradise, we pair up a bottle of Cabernet with the Chicago-style bone-in rib-eye complemented by a side of sautéed button mushrooms and a jumbo baked potato. Desserts are enormous and designed for sharing---our favorite is the signature (and legendary) hot chocolate cake.
