Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review: Morton’s is located downtown where the action is, just across the street from the library and a couple blocks from the State Capitol. It’s also within walking distance of the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and the Ryman Auditorium. The atmosphere is traditional but easygoing, with plenty of wood and leather, plus private wine lockers and comfortable chairs. Steak is the star of the show, of course; it's carefully selected and seared with skill. Salmon is also a good bet, and the side dishes are hefty. The wine list is extensive, with many first-rate producers represented. For dessert, try the molten chocolate cake or upside-down apple pie. |
