| This national chain restaurant features steaks, seafood and other meats, all in an upscale setting. The originator of the show-and-tell tableside menu, Morton's lays it on thick. But it's a good thick, and it's a fine place for good food and a good time in a clubby atmosphere. Start with a signature cocktail, then move on to tuna tartare or a jumbo lump crab cake. Beef selections run the gamut, from a 24-ounce porterhouse to a double-cut filet mignon, and smaller portions are available for the daintier appetite. Seafood lovers will delight in the fresh lobster, colossal shrimp and ahi. The sides are à la carte, and large enough to share. If there's room, there's nothing like a chocolate soufflé, hot upside-down apple pie or double-chocolate mousse. |
