This restaurant is housed in a '20s building that was a retreat for Hollywood types in its early days and a haven for bootleggers during Prohibition. Enjoy the great view and stick with the simpler dishes. Appetizers like the cheesy garlic bread are always satisfying. We have found the eight- or ten-ounce filet mignon expertly charbroiled and nicely accompanied by green peppercorn sauce and mashed potatoes. However, most of the dinner entrées are seafood, including our favorites: garlic prawns and the fresh fish of the day, straight from fishermen on the nearby Pillar Point Harbor. The Sunday brunch is very popular. |
