THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED A Moveable Feast Restaurant Review:

Although intended as a gathering place to discuss art, philosophy and current events, the issues discussed at this café and health-food store-named after the classic Ernest Hemingway book-probably lean more toward the nutritional benefits of a vegetarian diet. And diners have plenty to talk about: Menu items are prepared with enough flavor to make up for the lack of fat. Try any of the South-of-the-border specialties like enchiladas verduras (with tofu, soy cheese, grilled shrimp or chicken) or the fajitas (made with beefy-tasting portobello mushrooms). Pasta dishes like the Chipotle Capellini and the Pasta Primavera make great use of vegetables. And what would a health-food restaurant be without a full line of meat-free burgers? Besides vegetable- and grain-based versions, there’s a more moderate shrimp burger-and even a chicken version. In fact, the addition of chicken and seafood dishes to the menu is a great plus. Indulge in roasted chicken (billed as natural chicken, of course), served with mashed potatoes and greens, or the herb-encrusted rainbow trout, served over a bed of organic brown rice with a heaping helping of grilled vegetables. For dessert-or as a meal-try a fancy-fruit or protein-packed, non-dairy smoothie.
