| Chef Mónica Patiño is the top representative of Mexican nouvelle cuisine, and her MP Taberna Bistro has been a meeting place for the city's smart set for years. It's been keeping up its high standards, and given its privileged Polanco setting, business types are especially drawn here at lunch time. Her boasts a surprisingly tasty "merger" between Mexican ingredients and pan-Asian recipes. Service is impressive and personal; the restaurant is considerably small but has a rewarding Japanese-like garden, which is refreshing in the hot and steamy springtime, when tables can be arranged there. |
