Squeezed into a downstairs eatery sans frills, this uptown destination (alongside a string of restaurants) stands out for its rock-bottom prices and lack of pretension---and for its above-average cooking. But what sets this place apart is management’s avowal that its veggies are organic. As if that weren’t enough, the menu is nearly as large as the restaurant, offering not only assorted steamed and health-conscious recipes but also typically sauce-rich and not-for-dieters food: Peking duck rolls as appetizers, Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken and pork with eggplant are just a few of these.
