Mugs Ale House Restaurant Review: Greenpoint’s best beer bar, Mugs runs over 30 taps of imported and regional beers and has even installed two old-style beer engines for pouring handcrafted ales. A long bar and backroom with booths can hold lots of beer fans, and an outdoor garden fills in the warm months, especially with adventurous Manhattanites who’ve caught the nearby “L” train, only one stop away from the last East Side station. Casual pub grub---steak, burgers, wings and nachos---is served in the evening until midnight, and the friendly neighborhood crowd is a pleasure. |
