THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Nebo Restaurant Review:

Like the name---an acronym for North End Boston---this pizzeria and wine bar is indicative of the decidedly modern edges that have formed on its once old-school Italian neighborhood. Actually, Nebo is itself on the neighborhood’s periphery, not two blocks from the TD Banknorth Garden, which means it lures as many sports fans as foodies looking for cucina Italiana. What they all encounter is a smart little space where grazing, not gorging, is the way to go. Still, though the presentation is sleek, many of the antipasti are fairly classic---bresaola with lemon and Parmesan, arancini (though the honey dip strikes us as odd), even tripe in tomato sauce. The same goes for the thin-crust pizza: corn, potatoes and arugula may sound edgy, but they're standard toppings in Italy. The execution varies, however; one pie hits the spot, the next bores. In short, we have yet to be terribly impressed by the offerings; and yet, as with any decent neighborhood place, we find ourselves returning for the drinks---in this case Italian wines by the glass---and the all-around friendly vibe it emits. Note: There's also a gluten-free menu.
