New Albanian Brewing Company Public House Restaurant Review: Serious beer geeks regularly cross the bridge from Louisville to Southern Indiana to sample from the widest selection of microbrews, guest drafts, and bottled beers in the region. House creations, which run the beer gamut from refreshing lagers to smoky porters, include Beak’s Best (American pale ale), Bonfire of the Valkyries (smoked black lager) and Hoosier Daddy (amber ale). There are 34 taps in all, about half of which serve a rotating selection of guest brews. The menu is dominated by a long selection of pizzas, calzones and sandwiches. The pizza dough and spicy tomato sauce are made in-house. Don’t miss the addictive potato wedges, which are baked in the pizza oven. Check the chalkboard for available desserts, including a notable cheesecake. If none is listed, don’t despair. Enjoy a fine Belgian lambic instead.
