Nick & Toni's Restaurant Review: Consider yourself lucky if you're able to secure a table at Nick & Toni's. The huge wood-burning oven in the back of the dining room may be the star of the culinary show, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself dining next to real Hollywood stars. Patrons come in for the warm and attentive service as well as the creative Mediterranean fare prepared with care by chef Joe Realmuto. His focus is on local ingredients and organic produce grown in the restaurant’s own garden, and he delivers winners night after night. The local bay scallops are well paired with savory chanterelle mushrooms and a unique sorrel and walnut pesto. Whole roasted fish sprinkled with fragrant olive oil and fresh herbs is first-rate, as is the zucca pizza, a mix of butternut squash, robiola and bacon. Meat-lovers will enjoy the spice-rubbed hanger steak, served with local fingerling potatoes and a unique oyster butter. Maybe with the butterscotch panna cotta and a sip of limoncello you will muster the courage to ask for that autograph.
