Noble Rot Restaurant Review: Patrons frequent Noble Rot for two reasons: the drinks and the view from the outdoor patio or enclosed porch. The former include a 300-plus-selection wine list with 30 to 50 by-the-glass choices and a half dozen flights, plus craft cocktails. The seasonal menu is about as locally sourced as it gets: many ingredients are grown on the restaurant's expansive rooftop garden. Try one of many seasonal salads, perhaps a melding of green beans, red peppers, almonds and manchego cheese. Panini pair ingredients such as ham, cheddar and mango chutney, or grilled butternut squash with caramelized onions and goat cheese. Heartier dishes may include three squashes with corn, onions and farro, or steak frites with herb aïoli. For dessert, order the apple tart with mascarpone and candied walnuts. Happy hour runs from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. and its menu is updated often.
