Nobu Restaurant Review: Guests will find Nobu just off the casino floor at the Atlantis Resort. It’s a hip space introduced with a glowing green archway leading to a sushi bar, spacious lounge area and private room overlooking the marina. Celebrated owner Nobu Matsuhisa was born in Saitama, Japan, but relocated to Lima, Peru, as a young sushi chef --- a move that would have a profound impact on his career and life. His practice of boldly infusing traditional Japanese cuisine with spicy South American ingredients greatly contributed to his now-formidable reputation worldwide. The signature item, black cod with miso, is included in the line-up, along with artful dishes made with local ingredients, such as live conch “new style” sashimi and roasted Bahamian lobster with three Nobu sauces. The harumaki dessert ends the meal in sweet tropical Asian style: rolls stuffed with banana dulce de leche with passion fruit ice sauce and goma ice cream. In the drinks department, an exclusive line of fine saké takes precedence, or you may want to try a lychee mojito or pisco passion fruit. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, with several sparkling wines and half-bottle and by-the-glass options.
