THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Nozumi Asian Cuisine & Lounge Restaurant Review:

This stylish suburban sushi house has a water-wall entry; low, sleek pendant lighting; and dark wood booths and tables coupled with conversation-friendly beats. Sharable small plates are an emphasis. Wagyu jalapeño poppers are stuffed with richly marbled ground beef and pepper jack; they’re then sliced and plated like maki and drizzled with kicking wasabi mayo. Rolls are inventive, too, from the pico de gallo-topped shrimp and calamari “ceviche” to a mascarpone-spiced soft-shell crab tempura number. Pristine fish --- including alternating whirls of snapper and flounder, plated with octopus, crab and shrimp on a bed of ponzu --- plus inventive entrées and saké martinis and mojitos add to the experience. Desserts, including a well-executed crème brûlée and ganache-cloaked orb of chocolate cake, are surprisingly special.
