The cheerful dining room of Ocean One Bar & Grille features a skylight while the adjacent room showcases an elegant 24-seat oval bar. The café’s 3-for-1 frozen drinks (offered from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the bar) and mega-martinis are legendary, as are its affordable lunch and dinner items. For starters, we like the wings seasoned with scallions and sesame seeds, and the Mediterranean mussels with tomatoes, basil, marinara sauce and Parmesan. The miso-glazed salmon with stir-fried bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli and rice vinaigrette is a favorite, as is the orecchiette pasta with roasted chicken and mushrooms, caramelized onions and porcini broth. Among sweet temptations are the chocolate-peanut butter cake and vanilla crème brûlée. |
