 Topnotch seafood from a daily changing menu and an upscale, yesteryear setting make this downtown spot a destination for visiting and local dignitaries. Plush booths allow for privacy, but we like the tables, because they allow you to see and be seen. Make a meal of the large selection at the raw bar, which brims with fresh oysters, huge shrimp and chunks of crab. Or enjoy the saffron-tomato bouillabaisse, a shrimp-loaded dish. Fresh fish never disappoints and can be prepared the chef’s way or your way. Desserts spell comfort, especially the chocolate chip cookie and glass of cold milk or the warm apple crisp with or without vanilla ice cream.
