Olde Port Inn Restaurant Review: It’s hard to ask for a better location, especially on sunny days, so we were disappointed to see this spot evolve to a weekend-only lunch service. However, it’s still a comfortable place for casual fish ‘n’ chips downstairs, or a more formal --- albeit with a still unfussy pier-side style --- dinner experience upstairs. Definitely inquire as to the fish specials, since they likely involve the catch that just got loaded off the boats below. Otherwise, dive into a Mexican prawn cocktail, grilled salmon with wasabi butter, or “no work” cioppino with all the cracking already done for you and served with hot sourdough bread. Desserts are so-so, but the warm peach cobbler can hit the spot on a chilly day. There’s also beer on tap, and a better wine list that you’d find at most dockside restaurants. Note that parking out on the pier is very limited. |
