| What a pleasant dining room this is with its mustard-yellow walls, windows crisply trimmed in white, black-and-white photographs of old Annapolis, and live trees wound through with twinkling Tivoli lights. Ambience alone puts O'Leary's in the winner's circle. But, thankfully, its beauty is more than skin deep. The focus is on seafood, including everything from skillful renditions of standards---think jumbo lump Maryland crab cakes with potato, corn and Vidalia onion hash and crisply-fried Virginia oysters with sweet and spicy mustard vinaigrette---to dishes like Thai-barbecued mahi mahi. Add to this a well-chosen and annotated wine list, a goodly selection of wines by the glass, and professional service, and you have a serious contender for an Annapolis best-in-show. |
