Olympia Kebob House & Taverna Restaurant Review: For many years, this family-run joint has welcomed couples on first dates, families with small children, young adults out on the town and boisterous mid-life birthday celebrations. Many customers don’t remember a time they didn’t come here. It's a quintessential jeans and T-shirt place, with lots of plants and wood, beer signs and an occasional bouzouki player --- you get the idea. Appetizers are wide-ranging, though many patrons opt for the irresistible glow of flaming saganaki. Kebabs are available in beef, lamb or chicken varieties, with the traditional Greek restaurant tendency to cook everything until it's really done. The spicing is right, though. Wash it all down with passable wine by the glass or something from the good selection of beers. Best of all, though, is the thick Greek coffee. Patience is a virtue, as the staff displays varying levels of attentiveness. |
