 Ophelia's On The Bay Restaurant Review: When you need a little romance, only one place on Siesta Key will do. Located at the southern tip of the key, Ophelia's has a waterfront terrace that the moon favors with an extra luminous show over Little Sarasota Bay and the mainland. The interior of the restaurant is elegant, but it would be a shame not to sit outside and take in the sherbet-hued show. After many years, Ophelia's keeps pushing the culinary envelope, expertly juxtaposing sweet-and-salty combinations that marry meats with fruits (coconut-and-cashew-crusted grouper with papaya jam), and salty meats with fish (black sea bass and cockle clams pan-roasted with apple wood-smoked bacon and leeks). It’s a distinctive and memorable palette of flavors that is complemented by a quirky wine list. The menu changes nightly. |
