| On the other side---read: the student- rather than shopper-run stretch of Newbury Street---this funky café wears its interior graffiti and customers' tattoos as badges of honor. Neo-hippies love it for its teas, fresh juices and vegetarian eats; their harder-living counterparts come for the unexpected selection of craft brews---only to crowd the sidewalk for a smoke between quaffs. Decent coffee, real Italian sodas and some fine, freshly prepared sandwiches and salads round out the offerings. Still, if you're old enough to remember the Beatles---or even the Go-Gos---we suggest you go-go elsewhere. |
