Our Way Cafe Restaurant Review: At Our Way Café, Southern fare of the most traditional sort fills the steam table. Each day brings a different special, so locals come on Friday for the famous salmon loaf with dill sauce, or one might encounter meatloaf topped with tomato chutney and baked chicken (served daily), Salisbury steak (Wednesday) and pork roast (Tuesday and Thursday). The fresh vegetables aren't typically cooked with meat, as is the Southern manner, and occasional vegetarian entrées could include a vegetable potpie. We like the fresh creamed corn, the pole beans, the cabbage and the creamy spinach. Very sweet cobblers and coconut cream pie are regulars among desserts --- owner Eva-Marie Roswall does all the baking in-house. While wine isn't available, you can bring your own (no corkage fee). Plan on early dinner as the place closes at 8 p.m. Note that there’s a well-sheltered patio to accommodate guests.
