Our Way Cafe Restaurant Review: At Our Way Café, vegetables aren't typically cooked with meat, as is the Southern manner, and occasional vegetarian entrées could include, for instance, a vegetable potpie. Each day brings a different special, so, for instance, Friday is for the café's famous salmon loaf with dill sauce, or one might encounter meatloaf topped with tomato chutney and baked chicken (served daily), Salisbury steak (Wednesday) and pork roast (Tuesday and Thursday). The latter is cooked until it’s quite tender, and is best enjoyed with the mashed redskin potatoes to sop up the sauce. Very sweet cobblers and coconut cream pie are regulars among desserts --- owner Eva-Marie Roswall does all the baking in-house. A well-sheltered patio accommodates guests, too. While wine isn't available, you could bring your own (no corkage fee). Plan on early dinner as the place closes at 8 p.m.
