| Our Way Café’s Southern fare includes house specials such as meatloaf and baked chicken (served daily), Salisbury steak and chicken enchiladas (Wednesday), salmon loaf (Friday and Monday), and fried chicken (Friday). We like the chili dog casserole, a foot-long hot dog wrapped in a flour tortilla and smothered in first-rate chili. Most vegetables are prepared without meat (there are only three exceptions out of 13 daily choices), and at least one vegetarian entrée, such as tomato pie, is offered every day. Good cobblers and coconut cream pie are regulars among desserts---owner Eva-Marie Roswall does all the baking in-house. A well-sheltered patio is available, too. Plan on early dinner as the place closes at 8 p.m. |
