Cousin to the two Ovo Cafés in Tampa and St. Petersburg, the menu even carries some of the Tampa labels: the Ybor Republic waffle and the St. Petersburg pizza, for example. More importantly, the menu is creative both in title and substance. For appetizers, try the Three Trips to Heaven Olive Spread, a mixture of chopped black olives, Spanish green olives and kalamata olives, mixed with fresh garlic and herbs, and served with Parmesan dip and sourdough rolls. Or the Kiss Me Garlic Rolls. There are choices of creative salads, soups, pizzas and pierogies. Try the Drunken Lobster Pasta Pillows, pasta filled with a lobster and herb blend, glazed with garlic and virgin olive oil, then topped with tomatoes and a shaved Parmesan cream. The desserts are rich in choice: from Cuban coffee cheesecake to a crème brûlée or Key Largo Key lime pie served with a black bottom crumble.
