THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pacific Rim Restaurant Review: The term Pacific Rim was originally coined to describe a certain type of Hawaiian-Pacific Island regional cuisine, but that's not exactly what you'll find on the menu at Bob Phoungphol's latest dining destination. It's more of a jumping-off point, in fact. Tuna tartare, Maui spare ribs and teriyaki steak are inspired by the Pacific Islands, but the curried shellfish appetizer and prawns in garlic sauce seem to have more in common with Thai or Indonesian cooking. Other menu highlights include char-grilled pepper steak and grilled shellfish over angel hair pasta.
