Paddy's Irish Pub Restaurant Review:

A faux château-style facility just off I-85, Château Elan offers golf, tennis, lodging, a spa and a choice of restaurants, including Paddy's Irish Pub. Founders Donald and Nancy Panoz had lived some 20 years in Ireland and decided to bring a bit of the auld sod home in the form of an authentic pub designed and built in Ireland and shipped to Georgia to be set up attached to the château. While Irish dishes are on the menu, so are items drawn from other traditions. Choose a hefty brew to pair with the substantial fare, and start with the loaded baked potato soup, a pub signature dish. Traditional standards include cottage pie (with beef), bangers and mash, and, of course, fish 'n' chips. Bread pudding and chocolate cheesecake are the desserts. While the winery's own wines are offered, the best choice with this food is the brews.
