 Palisade Restaurant Review: Just above the Elliott Bay Marina sits Palisade. Known to locals as a special occasion restaurant, its commanding views of the Seattle skyline, ferry boats and the Olympic mountains are rivaled by its modern yet elegant atmosphere. An updated menu features a mix of seafood and steaks, including whole live lobster with lemon butter sauce, Dungeness crab-stuffed black tiger prawns and New York strip with Gorgonzola. For a taste of both, opt for the surf ‘n’ turf, a combination of apple wood-smoked prime rib, grilled salmon and jumbo prawns. Seasonal specials might include vegetable risotto or seared Alaskan halibut. For a sweet finish, try the pear and apple bread pudding or the flourless chocolate cake spiked with espresso. Sunday brunch buffet is the best way to enjoy Palisade, especially for the banana-macadamia nut-sourdough griddlecakes. |
