THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pallino Pastaria Restaurant Review:
Inside this big, high-ceilinged space, all the noodles may be spaghetti, but the sauces are inventive and tasty. We're partial to the option rich with Fontina, Parmesan and Gorgonzola; Modena, sporting bacon and peas in a garlicky white wine, shallot and cream sauce; the pungent puttanesca shot through with olives, capers, hot peppers, tomatoes, anchovies and garlic; and the savory salsicce, a tomato sauce flavored with sausage, peppers, fennel and red wine. Pair your pasta with a salad mixing greens, red grapes, dried cranberries, almonds and Gorgonzola, or go the soup and panini route. Everything is fresh, high-quality and fast. And did we mention that the ambience is absolutely exquisite for such a quick and inexpensive eatery? You'll be inclined to linger, sipping Italian wines available by the glass or nibbling a cannoli and sipping an espresso, wishing you were on the Via Veneto. Pallino is a perfect stop after power shopping at the mall. Other locations.
