Expatriate New Yorkers flock to the Palms in every city, and many consider this their home away from home in Las Vegas. Stroll down an indoor mall designed to look like the Appian Way into this Manhattan-style steakhouse for a relaxing change of pace---and good steaks, such as the 24-ounce prime-aged, bone-in rib-eye and the 32-ounce double-cut New York strip for two, that are just as well-prepared as those found at all The Palm’s locales. The house specialty---Nova Scotia lobsters---are as large, too, as are the prices you'll pay for them. For lunch, however, the very moderately priced prix-fixe special includes soup or salad, and the choice of a dozen entrées---such as chicken citron, broiled salmon filet and filet mignon with sautéed mushrooms---served with the signature cottage fries or hash browns, and coffee or tea. Among our favorite specialties are lobster bisque, clams served oreganata- or casino-style, chicken or veal Marsala, asparagus fritti, five-layer fudge brownie cake and carrot cake.
