Despite the beefy influx of steakhouses, this place still offers one of the best deals in town.

If The Capital Grille is the power lunch spot of choice for Republicans, The Palm is the preferred Democratic hangout. Lunch and dinner are equally busy. The lunch menu features the signature beef salad over sliced tomatoes and a list of surprisingly good Italian and Cajun-inspired dishes. In the evening, go for the New York strip or one of the gigantic lobsters for which it is famous, accompanied by an order of cottage fries and creamed spinach. Instead of dessert, opt for a Cognac and an expensive cigar---it's that kind of place. Also located at 1750 Tysons Blvd., Vienna, VA, 703-917-0200.
