Palomino Restaurant Review: The setting, with cloth-covered tables and a wall of windows looking onto the busy street, could be deemed romantic if not for the din that fills the room. But that's what makes this place so popular with locals and visitors alike. Brick-oven roasted mussels are addictive, whether for a starter at dinner or an entrée for lunch. Or try some upscale comfort food, such as the truffle deviled eggs and pepper bacon. Palomino does seafood right, especially when it is in the signature paella loaded with clams, mussels, white fish and chicken. For lighter fare, consider a soup or the blue cheese and romaine heart salad with an artisan pizza, like the prosciutto crudo. Servers will happily recommend a wine pairing for seafood, meat or pasta dishes. The tiramisu is well-known, and who wants to break tradition. |
