Panera Bread Restaurant Review: Panera is always dependable, even if the prices are a little steep. College students from nearby University of Central Florida and other regulars stop by every morning for a fresh-brewed cup of java, from espressos to lattes to cappuccinos. The bakery is just too tempting to pass by, stacked with fresh bagels, breads and treats from chocolate chip cookies to flaky scones. Lunch is jammed, too, with signature sandwiches served on fresh bread. There are three to four soups on the menu each day, from creamy broccoli cheddar (the standby) to lemon chicken orzo to New England clam chowder. We like the salads, including the Greek, Caesar and the Asian chicken. If you want a loaf of sourdough to take home, go early; they sometimes sell out by mid-afternoon.
