| This restaurant offers everything from Chinese to Mexican, from Cajun to French, Italian to---well, wherever the chef’s inspiration takes him---prepared in a myriad of health-conscious ways. The restaurant aggressively tailors dishes to meet dietary needs (celiac, salt-free, fat-free, etc.). Despite the restrictions, the fare is creative, and vegetarian dishes shine---there are boundless variations on vegetable stir-fries and casseroles. Comfort foods are a taste of home; especially notable is Ethel’s Famous Pot Roast based on the owners’ mother’s recipe but made with Black Angus beef. It is served with mashed potatoes and gravy. Finish this meal with Mom’s Rice Pudding. The restaurant is known for its extensive wine list---thick as a telephone book. |
