The Pasta House Co. Restaurant Review: Nonna Tucci’s meatballs are legendary at The Pasta House Co. They show up as an appetizer, in sandwiches, atop spaghetti and under an oozing mound of Provel, the local love-it-or-hate-it cheese. Toasted ravioli and cheesy garlic bread prepare palates for standard Italian dishes like eggplant Parmigiano, linguine with clam sauce and, of course, pizza. All entrées are accompanied by the deliberately overdressed bowl of romaine salad. Those who can find room typically end the meal with the signature cheesecake. The décor is bright, clean and very Italian. The bar serves basic wines and cocktails, though the selection may vary by location. Service is above average for a chain, and this, combined with the comfortable familiarity of the menu, draws multi-generational families --- many of whom have been coming here since the restaurant’s founding in 1974. |
