The Pasta House Co. Restaurant Review: Nonna Tucci’s meatballs are legendary at The Pasta House Co. They show up as an appetizer, atop spaghetti, in sandwiches and even under an oozing mound of Provel. Toasted ravioli and cheesy garlic bread top the appetizer list; follow them with standard Italian dishes like linguine with clam sauce, eggplant Parmigiano and pizza. All entrées are accompanied by the Special Salad --- a deliberately overdressed bowl of romaine. Those who can find room typically end the meal with the signature cheesecake. The décor is clean, bright and very Italian. The bar serves basic wines and cocktails, though the selection may vary by location. Service is above average for a chain, and this, combined with the comfortable familiarity of the menu, draws multi-generational families --- many of whom have been coming here since the restaurant’s founding in 1974. |
