THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pasta Pronto Restaurant Review: Across from the Flower Hill mall, Pasta Pronto is a family-friendly café near the Del Mar racetrack. The restaurant serves up a wealth of tasty creations like the famous turkey meatballs in fresh marinara sauce with fusilli, or smoked trout with peppercorn in a lemon olive sauce with linguine. Eggplant Parmesan, chicken piccata, sautéed tilapia with artichoke, and penne with tiger shrimp are a few of the many entrées, while lunch boasts a bounty of big salads like a caprese chicken with avocado, grilled salmon on field greens and a crisp Caesar fortified with pesto rigatoni. The deli case is a colorful wonder of fresh bites like Tuscan egg salad with sun-dried tomatoes, quinoa with feta and roma tomatoes, homemade chicken potpies with puff pastry, and Sicilian tuna salad with ahi.
