The Pastrami Club Restaurant Review: Though the name of this self-described New York deli sounds a bit gimmicky to be the real thing, the savory smells are right, and the brisket, corned beef, and pastrami are righteous. Budget diners will appreciate that prices are a few bucks less than at most Jewish delis, plus there's an option to order sandwiches small, medium, or large (with five to ten ounces of deli meat) for further savings. Worthy hot entrées include home-style breast of veal, stuffed peppers, or tasty handmade potato or kasha knishes. Chase ’em with a celery tonic or an egg cream. |
